Interior and Upholstery How to replace convertible top frame rails

Hello, My 1989 Mustang GT needs a complete top replacement, side frame rails for the top, the motor, and the convertible top cover. I have looked pretty much everywhere and I have not found any guides or instructions of how to change the frame rails for the top. I have not found if they have to be cut/welded in. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated

Mine are bolted . Look up . I just replaced my top two months ago. Lubed them up and cleaned them . Strait forward , nothing tricky , regular tools. Now I dont know if you have to remove vinyl . Looks like yes.
