BUT can be ordered with wing, or other options. The best indicator is USUALLY manual windows. I've seen a s^#%load of GTS's with spoilers on them. They should also have the base V6 seats...no buckets in a GTS.

A Vin check on carfax will classify your car as a GT/GTS. This confused me as well, and had me running to my car to check to see if, after 5 years, I'd been rolling down my windows the whole time instead of pushing the button

well put, I have a spoiler! I guess that makes it even more rare.

The seats are usually a dead giveaway

Everything mentioned, along with no standard driving lights. What about manual locks? The only power accesories on mine are the mirrors, which I think is cause the car is too new to use those old style cables to moved them around. Anybody with a GTS have power locks?

I have a Black GTS.

It got an "after-market spoiler" (not stock 3 poles)
I got cruise control, electric mirrors but MANUAL windows and doors with clothe seats.

If the GTS have a spoiler on them, they will not be the same as the GT spoiler, they are 3 pronged instead of 2 pronged

Deadlast, it depends on which dealership ordered the car. Some dealers ordered them with additional options, up to and including Mach 460 sound systems. I bought my GTS new off the lot, and the dealership I bought from ordered ALL of their GTS' with p/w, pdl, power mirrors, cloth buckets, 16" waffle stars, cruise control, etc... ...the only visual cues that mine's a GTS and not a GT is the lack of fog lights and rear spoiler. I'd be willing to bet, some previous owner installed the fogs and spoiler (it's not real difficult ) for you.

xr8d302, I disagree with you, the best visual indicator is the lack of fog/driving lights, NOT manual windows. I've got power windows, et. al. but b-off plates where the fog lights should be is a real tipoff.

Zero Signal, NO, the GTS has the Mustang GT script-style badges, just like the GT.

also heard that on the GTS's the sun visors dont have a light while all GT's do. Also if you dont have foglights and theres a plate there blocking the whole its probably a GTS

If you have a GTS with manual windows and would like power, let me know. I would be more than happy to take the manual stuff off your hands.

Thanks for the correction

It's good to learn all this new stuff, I really thought that power options weren't available for the GTS

was there any advantages in getting a GTS? first owner was an undercover cop. second was a bc law graduate that barely drove it. i also didnt have the 5 star waffle, they were originally the split 3 spokes (17")
