How to tell if 03 GT isn't running as fast as it should be?

I have an 03 GT, stock with just flows. Even though I beat my friends E36 M3, beat an SS in 1/2 gear, and barely lost to a 96 Vr-4, I sometimes think this car should be faster. I know it's most likely all in my head, but is there some sort of thing that can confirm it? I heard there was a TSB for 03 GT's that said the car didn't perform as well, so they reflash the ecu or something. Sorry to sound like a noob, but theres no other way to xplain this. Tia.

Have your car dyno tuned. They can set the timing and a/f ratio to get the maximum horsepower out of your car.

He doent need to have his car tuned but he could pay 50 bucks and have it dyno'ed to see the power outputs.

you beat an M3 and an SS and lost to a VR-4!? well obviously you can't always go by that cause driving ability plays into that. last night I put MANY car lengths on a VR-4 on the freeway, it was funny to say the least.

best way, take it to the track, make some runs, check your times, mile per hour. and then take it to the dyno, usually you can get a good read by that, good luck :nice:

The Dyno is the way to go. I took my car to the track a while back and had a horrible run, and it was all my fault. Since then I have let a few knowledgble people drive the car and they told me the car should have no problem running low 13's-high 12's. When I took it out I ran a 15.1 with a 2.5 60ft time. Ouch!
