how to tell if there is a bent valve

I have just got a pair of gt 40 heads that have new springs and a valve job. Before i put them on I want to check If they have bent valves or anything so i dont have problems after i put them on? Is their anyway to tell before i put them on the block? thanks

leakdown test.. You can remove the rockers or just put it on TDC for each cylinder as you check it... If the valve is bent it should let air pass and it will come out the intake or exhaust.. you should be able to hear it...

the shop that rebuilt them check them while they have the heads disassembled. they would have told you if it had a bent valve
