ok, this makes me sound like a jack-ass that doesnt know his ass from a hole in the ground, but i need to know exatly where the OBD-II port is that I plug the tuner into. i know its under the passenger side, but i cant find it. is it under the kick panel? also exactly which fuse box are the fuel pump fuse and elecctrical fan fuse fan in? is it the one under the drivers side dash or under the hood? i have a fuse diagram, but its dark, its cold and i dont wanna be outside looking for all this **** forever. i know i can do it without pulling the fuses, but i want to play it safe.

so, wheres the damn port and which fuse box? some pics would be great! thanks

I don't know about the '02 but on my '98 GT the port is located on the right side of the driver's leg area. In other words, picture yourself in your driver's seat, reach down around where your right calf is and it should (at least on the '98) be located on the right side of the kick panel. It's a direct plug-in.

Again on the '98, the fuse box is on the driver's side of the engine compartment. Consult your driver's manual on removing the right fuses. I removed the two necessary ones and my tuner gave me an error message. I call Modular Depot and they told me me to not even bother with the fuses. That solved the problem. He mentioned it might be a problem with the way the '98 manual is or something like that.

If it's cold and dark wait til it's warm and sunny. No risking draining your battery or something.

Dude , you see your steeringwheel? just look under there a little to the right. you will see it.Thats where it is in the 03/04's so i think 02 should be the same

done, thanks guys. that was pretty damn easy once i found the port. no more CEL or fake miles with the 4.10s. thanks again

one more thing, is there any risk running the performance tune (93 octane) all the time?

and is code P1233 the one for not having cats?

There is nothing wrong with running a 93 octane tune. I have one and no issues. However i would recommend you not be cheap by running 91. You risk a chance of some slight detonation at certain rpms.

I believe the code is P0430/P0431.

oh, that must have been because we pulled the fuse. i guess the tune cleared the codes that were thrown bc of the p/r pipes. it fixed my speedometer as well. anyone know what 1125 miles with 4.10s converts to with stock gears?

If you want your uncorrected miles back, you can set the gear ratio to 4.56 for the number of miles needed to get back to your actual mileage. Just be aware if you do so you will going at a higher actual speed than the speedometer indicates.
