Well im buying the 40 series 2 chamber mufflers soon. Thank God my neighbor owns a Meineki shop, and can HOPEFULLY have them welded in/installed for cheap.

You could go to the rental shop and pickup the welder, go home, raise the car, wrestle with getting the old exhaust apart, install the new one, weld the mufflers in place, spit out the grit that landed in your mouth, lower the car, return the welder, pay the rental fee....

...or...

...take the mufflers to a local shop and pay them $30-$40 and drive away a short while later with the job done.

Guess you can tell which road I chose.

...or...

saws all the mufflers off, get my buddy to weld them in. All done

All free.

yeah. . . thats a tough one, most of the time Id rather do stuff myself than trust a mechanic, but Ive never welded, and I dont know how well I trust my neighbor tinkering with my exhaust . . .

Mine used to do custom welding for a company he worked for. He's excellent at it. Plus he wends on his race car all the time. Hid Dad just isn't too good at it. I work with him and his Dad (the mechanic) on the race car so he has no problem letting me use the shop to do mods.
