Looks like you'd need these:

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ECsKvpSXsAr/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=305250&I=541PXHFD3&search=I+pod

EDIT: It says '98+, but that's what I get when I enter '95 Mustang w/ Mach 460. Makes sense since the Mach 460 head unit is the same from '94-2000.

Do you have the Mach 460 system in your car? If not, I'd just change the head unit out with an aftermarket unit made for use with Ipods. You can get a Pioneer or Alpine deck at Bestbuy for like $150-$200 that should do the trick. But even the head unit may require you to buy an adapter for the Ipod while some just have USB ports in the face.

You could run a in-line (to the ant.) rfmodual. It would run off the headphone jack and prob. be close to as good quality as it would be directly wired to the radio and ipod unlike some wireless ones that have a weak signal/signal drop out.

They are like 25$. I am going to get one for the mustang as I have a philips mp3 and they dont make as many cool add ons as the ipod has. The next stereo I do will just be a damn hard drive touch screen computer headunit SOOO many things you can do with that.

why not just get an I-Trip

you plug your ipod into it and some even have stands that plug into the cigerat lighter and hold/charge you ipod at the same time

you set the I-Trip to a nonused radio station and it puts out a signal that your radio pics up on that station...really simple and you can pic them up at radio shack

I have one (not itrip though) and the father-in-law has an itrip, I dont like the wireless personly...weaker signal (songs sound kinda muffeld) and the signal gets broken up sometimes as well as some cars just not picking up the sig.

Both of our wireless transmiters will not work on all of our cars. Mine will not work on the mustangs clarion headunit or the wifes alpine in her zx2. The father-in-laws will not work in there burban, and I dont think it works on his work truck either. That is the reason I am going with a direct wired rf modual, that and it will work with any mp3 player.

For mounting, someone in here (Riosnake?) had made a really neat looking arm that came out from behind the radio bezel. He used drilled metal (like some aftermarket shift levers use). It was sharp.

I am also looking for a better way to connect my ipod into my stereo. I think im just gonna get a head unit with the input in front, and be able to control the ipod from the head unit.

As for mounting, when i had the tape adaptor, i made a holder for the ipod out of some sheet metal which i think came out cool. Heres some pics...

Ever look at the pro-fit brackets?? It's a vehicle specific mount that you can mount anything to it. I have one in my explorer with the sirius radio mounted to it. There good quality and very durable.

Here's the link to the 1994-2004 mustang mount: Click me for pro-fit bracket

Here's the link to there website: Pro-fit site Click on the VSM link on the site to get to the mounts.
