In a nutshell, I'm doing a turbocharged 331 setup with methanol injection. Should be in the 700-800rwhp range if all goes well. I'm essentially rebuilding the rest of the car as well. Just about everything will be replaced. I got tired of the random electrical gremlins, so it's getting rewired from scratch too. It will probably be two or so years before it sees any pavement. I was going to do a YSi setup, but decided that a turbo would be a nice change. There is something about instant boost that is appealing.

What turbo you looking to run? Whos meth kit? Ive been looking at the AIS kits instead of running vp.
Nothing is set in stone yet, but a PT76GTS .96ar will match up nicely with the 331. I've been talking to Jeff at Pony Down, and will probably go with one of his kits. I ran a Snow meth kit with my blower setup, and it worked very well. AIS has some very nice kits also. I'm going to do a trunk mounted setup with a MAF controller, but I'm not sure what kit I'm going with yet.
A 76 would go nicely but a 88 would be better?Yea I had a pony down kit, it was alright. Have you thought about building one yourself?
If I had a more cubes, an 88 would work well, but my little 331 won't be able to spool a massive turbo like that quick enough for the streetable characteristics I'm looking for. I have thought about making my own, but I would need to replace my little 110V MIG welder with something a little more capable of welding the hotside. I may just buy a hotside and do the coldside myself. I have plenty of time to figure out exactly when I'm going to do.
For a fun street car a t4 set up is plenty the t6 is huge and routing the down pipe is a real PITA I hear.
I still need to put a .96 housing on my 76GTS.
