HP Gain? Flex fan...

You noted a flex fan in the title.......... Is that what you'll be comparing the E-fan to?

As far as any parasitic improvements, it will depend upon what set-up you have now.

In any case, it sounds like your car is a great candidate for an e-fan conversion.

Almost no hp gain. One guy from another forum actually reported a torque loss.
Read through the last 2 months of posts here and see how many E fan problems people have, it's alot. Works better on newer cars because the computer controls the fan, not an aftermarket fan controllers.
Spend the money elsewhere.
Only time i think it helps is to get the a/c to work better at idle.

For a hp gain estimate, consider it this way, removing the entire belt gains somewhere in the vicinity of 25rwhp, that's no PS, no water pump, no alternator, and no fan.
You'll just be removing the fan, you still have to turn the water pump.

I had underdrive pulleys on my 92. I installed an e-fan and on the advise of the fan manufacturer, went back to stock pulleys and a 140 amp alternator. I haven't had the car dyno'd but I noticed performance was a little better with the e-fan than with the underdrives. As far as torque loss, I can't tell...... To me, there is a noticeable difference in the performance and that makes it worth it to me.

DCC controller and a Taurus fan.

Do a search, theres tons of good threads on this subject.

Agreed [it's the combo I run right now].

If you ever see super hot weather (probably not in Wisconsin), there are better fans out there.

The Delta controller is what you want to control whatever fan you get.

Good luck.
