HP increase with aftermarket manifold...

ok guys..take a look at my set up...right now i am running a stock intake manifold with my other mods. i am running right a 300 hp right now...how much of a HP increase would i get by adding a typhoon intake, trick flow street heat intake or a performer intake????

I doubt you are making 300rwhp (probably close at the flywheel) now- but you may come closer with an intake. With your set up a performer or Street heat is too small- an F Cam needs a bit of RPM. The F cam is a bit much for an AOD without a lot of gear and/or a power adder.... even with a 2800 stall. I know first hand.

The typhoon will be ok, as would a performer rpm or a track heat. Your car is screaming for a little shot of nitrous.

yeah id like to do a 100 shot. and due to emissions crap comming here im gonna change to a trick flow stage 1 cam.

Not a chance in hell I'd put a Typhoon on a setup like yours. Sure... it'll work great for your setup the way it is but I'm sure you know that the combo you list there is screaming for forced induction. I think the Trick Flow would be a great choice for present combo as well as for the day you put that blower on. If you can swing the blower and intake at the same time I'd say Holley Intake, hands down. If you're going to replace your cam and ever plan on a blower... check around and see if you can get a good grind for a blown application that will also work well N/A. I'm no cam guy so wouldn't know what road to send you down where that's concerned.

What rpm band do you want to make power in? Do you know what the heads flow? Is this a street car, strip car or both - if so what ratio strip/street?

it always amazes me that people will do a cam and heads.... but not things like an intake

anyway, i am a fan of the RPM intake.

guys,

im running 12.80's the car is taken to the track twice a month. i used to have a comp composites box intake on the car with a procharger P1SC. 10 pounds of boost i was running 11.20's with drag radials. i sold my s/c and manifold and want straight N/a power...changed my mind again...well i want to add nitrous and a novi 1000 together. im thinking the trick flow or systemax....

my motor is not just "cam and heads" its built..... nothing stock except for the timing cover.....my powerband right now is 2800 to 6500.....my rev limiter has been moved to 6800.
