any one know the HP limit of a stock 351w block???

ive pretty much scrapped the idea of a 8.2 deck stroker build. im just gunna build it all now and be done with it.

carb nitrous c4 maybe a 9 inch...

Pretty much any 351W block should handle 700 hp, however there are a ton of factors which may kill one +/- that mark. Don't know what you are building but maybe consider an SHP block if you are getting into that power neighborhood and adding spray.

im hoping to make around 800 on the bottle...

looking at a 408 with a set of iron windsor SR heads victor intake forged everything studded mains and heads...

are you planning on finding a tuner who knows carbs and getting them to tune the system? and i dont think i stock block will make it to 800 on spray. not with that combo. look at it like this. realistically the sr200's, vic jr intake and no matter what carb, on a stock block 408 is going to make 350-400 at the wheels. so you are going to have to double that out put with nitrous. and the only way you satnd a chance of keeping it together with that amount of gas is to stage it. and its going to take some serious testing and tuning to set that up right and its going to cost alot of money.

tuning a carb isnt an issue..neather is going in stages. but i honestly think i can make over about 500 at the wheels with an 10.5:1 408...

maybe, maybe not.

he has better heads than the 200's. look at his numbers.

with AFR 225's which is a better race head than a 200.

here is you a dart block 408....

these are just a few examples.

first guess on the first car is its being choked off with that 750. the guy i pit for had a 408 street car before the race car and it needed a 950 at 11:1 with a set of out of the box brodix heads. car now runs 8.70's (pretty sure thats what it was with a 250 shot) also gunna say he needs bigger exhaust and why a c6 over a c4?

2nd guy dont get much info on the build but its a mustang dyno its loaded. so the numbers should be a bit higher. if its got a big stalled auto it also wont make numbers like it should

last guy nailed it on the head with his post. its set up for a blower not NA
