About to drop out the ported eaton and upgrade to a turbo in my 03, anyone have or heard of HP Twin Turbo? or should I go with with Proturbo Single T-76? These are the only companies my shop will install..Which company can I rely on, I want to put near 700 hp at the wheels and still use pump gas. I've heard that HP makes great low end power but that's only going to spin my tires, I rather have hard top end but you can also upgrade to bigger twin set up with HP. I've always thought single is better? Anyone can help would be real cool

the only thing I know about turbos is that twin setups generally have less turbo lag than single turbos.

700hp is nice but what happens to your drive train once you put that power down ?

Can the stock t-56 and rear half shafts put up with this amount of hp? Or will the torque be the bigger trouble maker ?

Do torque number become huge with the twin turbo set up ?

I know this is more questions than answers, just wondering what the trade off is going to be on such a set up ...

I live about 2 1/2 hours from Roswell where HP is located. A 2003 Cobra down here has a TT kit and absolutely runs all over everyone. My vote...... Go TT.

HP kits are nice...there's a local guy with one on his 97 Cobra that makes 900+hp and you open the hood and you can't even tell it's modified hardly at all...Of course he's beefed up everything else on the engine to handle that power but the 03 engine should work great with the entry level HP kit and make great power...

He says it handles like a normal car on the street until you hit about 3200rpms and then everyone in the car has to hold on to something...

There's also a local guy that has a PTK turbo kit on his 99 Cobra Vert that's done him real good too...

I don't know much about turbo's and this may not apply to you, but I always heard a big single turbo on a Supra made more power than TT set-up and was faster.

I know a couple of guys running TT HP turbo kits on their 5.0's. Very happy but it took some time to get all the right parts. I guess that's a given though.

700 rwhp some day....

If your car is mainly a street runner I'd go with twins. If you are into drag racing or high speed roll on races then go with the single.

I highly suggest you surf on over to http://www.modularfords.com/forums/ and log into their Terminator forum. There are a few turbo 03/04 Cobra guys over there and a couple more in the middle of their turbo build ups.
