I'm about to remove my Hpipe in the morning and I was wondering what this tube that ran from it to my air conditioning system was. Anybody?

The tube is used to transfer fresh air into your exhaust. The pump takes fresh air and puts it into your exhaust to make it "cleaner".

You need to use heater hose with a couple band clamps to connect the new return line on your H-pipe to the EGR return line. This line will require cutting from the old H-pipe. I suggest you make this cut as close to the H-pipe as possible and use a pipe cutter. Good luck.

The tube comes from the smog pump and pumps fresh air into the cats to help burn the exhaust gases faster and more effiecantly thus getting cleaner emmisions.

I think he could probably just use the stock tube. I've had mine off before and put it back on. Mine was just clamped onto the Hpipe...the end of the tube is slit so it can be made larger at the end and slide over the h-pipe end.

Yup can do that too. I ran mine like that for about 10 years and just recently put in the heater hose. My Bassanni came with heater hose. It's very easy, flexible, and seals tight. I won't go back.
