hpm megabite jr's and torque boxes

well i'm already collecting some suspension parts for next summer or if i can find time to put them on this year.

my plan is to get some control arms (megabite jr's or lakewood traction action arms) eibach drag launch springs, and some adjustable shocks and struts.

i found a set of megabite jr's for sale for a good price but i'm worried about my torque boxes.

can i get away with just adding the control arms without reinforcing the torque boxes?

are all these torque box reinforcements replacements or do they just add to the stock torque boxes? i did find instructions to make my own but would rather buy off ebay for cheap.

which spacers are needed for the megabite controls arms? i know you need to use different number of spacers depending on which setting you use. anybody know how many you need to use for each setting?

You should make time to install your suspension parts they
are well worth it.
You will get great results with Steeda upper and lower control
arms.If you plan on taking your car to the track weld your torque
boxes.Tokico Illumina five way adjustable struts and shock would
be a good choice.

I have been going to the track for the last 4 years and have about 60 runs down the track. No signs of torque box damage at all and I launch hard as I can. Now if you are putting 400+lb-ft of rwtq and using slicks you might want to get reinforcements. I considering the bolt in style from UPR. You can have them welded if you want.

I have the Lakewood lowers and have no issues at all. It really tightened up the side to side movement. Also, no need of the quad shocks anymore. Take 'em off. No wheel hop and they give a solid launch off the line. Never heard of needing spacers so can't help you there.

I also use Strange 10-way adjustables f/r. They work great.
