I am looking to lower my car and had searched all over this site and other mustang sites regarding this. I have to decided to go w/ the bilstein's and use HR springs. Everytime I look at the springs though, race and sport, they drop is different. HR website says 1.75"-2"+ for the race and a little less for the sport. But MM says the race is like 1"-1.25" and the sport is 1.6"-1.7". I am trying to figure out which one lowers it the least because I don't want a slammed look. Something like the Sports seem good but I thought I read somewhere that someone used these and got an over 2" drop!! I want like a 1.5" drop around. Anyone got any info?

Oh yeah, I got an 03 GT Auto. if that matters.

It's like looking in a mirror except I got the chrome cobra looking rims. Your car looks GREAT!!! Thats what I want mine to look like. How is the handling and is the ground clearance pretty good as far as speed bumps, driveways, etc.? How much did it actually lower the front and rear? Did I say it looks good?!

Great selection on the H&R/Bilstein combination. The Maximum Motorsport website is correct on the amount of drop for the RACE springs. I just purchased the Race springs because I want to run Long Tube Headers in the future and did not want the drop of the Super Sports. I'm especially afraid of scraping on these crappy roads here in Michigan.

Several fellow Bullittheads on IMBOC also have the race springs. They've taken before and after photos and the Race springs drop our Bullitts only about 1/2 inch beyond what we got for a drop at the factory.

I have yet to install mine. They are still in the box in my basement. My best friend is trying to convince me to sell them and pull the trigger on coilovers. We are now getting into road courses and he thinks these will be better, as well as save weight.

After your research, if you are interested in some brand new Race springs, PM me.

H&R SS :nice:

I have the H&R race springs...very stiff, but love the way the car handles. I wouldn't want my car any lower then it is, I already have a scraping problem. I heard somewhere that the optimal drop for a mustang is 1 inch lower then stock.

All those cars look good. So technically the race springs don't lower it as much as the SS springs, right? Just curious as to how much an 03 GT will be lowered with race springs. Thanks.
