On my stang there is a big gap between the top of the hatch and the roof. I can fit my fingers in the gap. But the rest of the hatch is perfect and the bottom of the hatch lines up perfectly with the tailights. What could fix this?

Well you've obviously washed the car before. If water isn't getting in I wouldn't worry about it.

Looks like your hatch needs adjustment. Loosen the hatch end bolts on the hinge, allow the hatch move a little closer to tighten the gap, then tighten the bolts. You might have to try a few times to get the correct gap.

There's no adjustment at the hinge end.

I have no solution other than the fact with my OCD I'm annoyed for you. Please post a pic of that gap corrected soon.

Is there any adjustment where the hinge bolts to the body?

IIRC, there is a threaded rod coming off the hinge that goes through a hole in the roof. There might be an eighth of an inch of movement there.
