if you use a newer harness the fuel pump will not work. it will have to be hard wired. when i convert for people i make them spend the 79 bucks on the granatelli harness . saves a ton of time and problems. keeps all the factory wiring so it is guarantee for everything to work. just my .02 but it really saves time and frustrations. i have converted over 20 cars so far and had zero problems using this harness. just remember to unplug the vaccum line from the map sensor.

i just got off the phone with the tech guys at frpp , now if you have the wireing harness # M-12071-d302* , you only need to splice 3 of the 8 wires in that harness.
, the red/ Lt green ( 12vcrank only source , white / purple ( 12v crank only source an red/Lt green (12v crank and run source ) im doing the same harness and was haveing problem so if this help , i tried . oh and the 2 connectors that were left from the 88 harness are not used ,
