i don't think there is much worry on their part. the 08 gxp will compete against us nicely. i wouldn't get your hopes up until the redesign. the bullitt for 08 will just be a warmed over 08 gt. with badges and cool wheels, etc.
the 08 f-150 was rumored to get the 6.2, but that isn't happening. not until 09. special edition stangs will get the good stuff, not the GT. maybe a 5.0l 3v MOD for the gt.
I am going to wait at least 3 years for everyone to beta test the Hurricane engines before buying one. The 4.6/5.4 3V V8s were derivatives of the modular engine first introduced in 1990, yet some engines still have problems with burning engine oil to this very day.
