Hydraulic clutch question

Hi everyone

Wanting to switch from my cable clutch to a hydraulic. I see kits for around $400. Is there a cheaper way to go? Can I go to the junk yard? Can it be from any car?

Thanks for any info!

you could also use a hydraulic throwout bearing but those cost a bit of green
