Hydraulic Reservoir Fitment And Cylinder Mount

OK..68 seems to be done, or at least done enough that I can focus again on the 69.
The machine shop said the block should be done Saturday morning, so I can try and install it Sunday afternoon. The engine is getting bored and honed, .030 over pistons, and .010 over and under on the rods and mains. Retro roller camshaft, trick flow heads.
The question is:
For the hydraulic clutch, where id you mount your reservoir? How hard was it to fit the cylinder on the firewall?
I have today and tomorrow to try and place this stuff, while the engine is out.

Placement of the master cylinder is VERY CRITICAL and depends on what cylinder you are using. Most have less than 1.4" or 1.2" of total travel, but the stock clutch rod hole in the pedal actually travels a bit more than 1.5"-1.6" in stock operation. There are several ways you can skin this cat and all but one are a compromise! The absolute best way to skin the master cylinder is here:

Its not what I did, but if it had been available when I did my 68, I would have gone the $$$ and felt it worth every penny! I'm not fond of their slave setup and went a different way. File too large. I have the wilwood set up. CNC, etc..And I bought the Daze off set push rod. It just looks close around the power brake booster.

I'll snap a pic of where I put my reservoir. You say: "It just looks close around the power brake booster." Is that a side to side or up and down issue? On my 68, I put a 3/4" or 1" spacer (obviously a longer bolt also) between the pedal and the heim joint to offset it to the left of the car. The only reason I suggested speaking is so that, if needed, we could cover more ground in shorter time AND I HATE TYPING!

Gene, that does help. I just ran out of evening, and didn't wan to call after 9 pm. To me, it looks close for the clutch master to the left of the power brake booster. Thanks,
