You have more of a margin of error with the earlier pre-93 forged slugs. This doesn't mean you can't make power on the hyperpathetics- like HISSIN said, it means you have to work harder to avoid going lean.

It really doesn't mean that you have to work any harder. All it means is that you have to do it right (which should be the case no matter WHAT pistons you run). I love how folks talk about adding this or that and often never mention the tuning part of the process.

Im in the same situation.Im dying to get a Ken Belle, but have a 93 LX with a stock motor(hypter... pistons) Daggar is really selling me on the idea!! But I put 40,000 miles a year on my car so Im concerned about detenation on those "hot July days" when Im stuck in traffic,or when Im do 85mph in the 100% humidity :( 8psi's on with a KB would be awsome,I'LL have the T-Moss/Thumper combo so I'd expect good things  So when you guys say its all in the tune, you mean getting a chip burned that will richin it up??

I know we've talked about this quite a bit over the last couple of days Willy, and I'd like you to get information from other besides just me and TJM. My recommendation for your particular combination (as I understand it) would be the Anderson PMS. Anyone else think differently?

if ur gonna spend all that money just take the extra day or so and rip the motor out and put in some new slugs and a re-build kit....
