i just bought h&r supersports today. i plan on also getting bilsteins off ebay for $479 and MM CC plates. should i get steeda x2 balljoints and bumpsteer???? is there anything else i should throw in there too??? i do plan on getting x2c control arms eventually also.

thanks

another option for shocks and struts is getting stange adjustables in the front and something else in the rear. This would be good, b/c i could adjust them for the dragstrip and everything else. any opinions????

I would go ahead and get the balljoints and bumpsteer. I intend to get those pieces by the end of summer, stuff I should have done back when I changed my front springs out back i winter. Good idea to do as much at once as possible.

Also, look into the 03-04 Cobra Bilsteins. They're great and they cost less than other Bilsteins, at least they used to. :nice:

EDIT: Here's a link.

As long as you are doing it I would swap out the bushings as well with polyurethane. I put coilover conversion up front on my ride with tokiko illumina 5 way adjustable shocks. Rides like a dream and I can make adjustments in a matter of seconds.

the cobra ones are just a touch cheaper. if you add it all up, it is about the same price.

greg,

at first i was going to get coilover's all the way around, but i think i will love this new set-up also and people always say that bils adjust themselves. i thought it would be cool to adjust the ride height though, but after alot of thought i just didn't think i would actually change it once i found the height that looked and felt the best. With adjustments, there is just more to worry about. Coilover are awesome though. Also, a coilover set-up would have cost a bit more and its expensive enough as it is.

what bushings are the most important to replace????

i thought i would get alot of responses on this thread??????

well, i am still trying to decide on shocks and struts. i still haven't got my springs in the mail, so i have some time yet. i can't decide if i should get mach 1's for $200, bils for $479, or something adjustable (like strange) that would also be good at the dragstrip. what do you guys think?????

p.s. do x2 balljoints lower your front end .5 in. I read this in several threads and find it hard to believe???

thanks

They can lower it, but they supply spring spacers to keep the ride height where it would be with a normal balljoint. Not using the spacers would cancel out the benefits of the X2.
