I was talking with my brother tonight about some driving he got to do today. He works for Nike, and for whatever reason GM was out there with some cars for people to look at and drive.
Here is what he got to drive:
- Cadillac CTS-V
- Cadillac XLR
- Pontiac GTO
- C6 Corvette
- Z06 Corvette
His reaction -- the caddy's were real nice, performed very well and had lots and lots of doo-dads. Things like keyless everything, pushbutton start, pushbutton doors (no handles), etc. The GTO he said was disappointing, it did not perform as he had hoped. The C6 was "very nice, very refined". And the Z06, which he drove last, was "amazing". He said the Z06 was quite noticably the highest performing car there.
Anyway, I'm very jealous. I'm not a huge Chevy fan, but I would have very much enjoyed test driving all of these cars. And I will freely admit that I've long considered a Z06 Vette as likely a candidate for my next car as a 2007 Cobra is.
Even if it is a Chebby...
