Yep. Only 1500 miles on the blower, and it's polished.

My project red headed stepchild has now become project BIG NASTY.

Congrats. Is that the one from MPH? Are you going to have Tim tune it? You will love the difference it makes from the 1.7. I upgraded from the 1.7 also and all I can say is hold on tight .

lol thanks

Yes, it came from a MPH customer. It'll be installed and tuned by Tim with the shortblock in a couple months hopefully.

I originally didnt plan on upgrading blowers but couldnt let this one pass.

Sounds like you got a hell of a deal. I was looking for a used 2.2 when my car was in the shop waiting for the VT shortblock after putting the rod through the stock block. However I didn't have any luck finding one so I sucked it up and bought the 2.6. What hood are you using?

haha I'm sure you're fine with the 2.6L

I have a Cobra R (95 style) hood at the bodyshop getting prepped and painted as I type this. The hood should be on sometime next week.

I am in no way complaining about the 2.6 but I would have gotten a used 2.2 to save $$ and it's plenty of power for a street/strip car. I was gonna go with the 95 version but found a 2000 style brand new close enough to pick up so I went that route. It's growing on me but I think I would prefer the 95 you have. You will definetley trap higher than 111 now . What are you doing for a fuel setup?

NICE!!!!!!!! Looks like your now going to be making some big powa! Yea I think your next trip to the drags will result in a 13.5 @ 122 LOL. But seriously, what are you planning on going for...powerwise?

Dang everyones getting freegin forged motors around here! Looks like im going to have to push my stock SB to make some respectable #s compared to the rest of you HAHAHA.
For me, I dont plan on doing the engine for a LONG time...I miss my car too much to have it go down again.

As far as fuel setup is concerned, I'm still not decided, though I know it's necessary. I'll start asking Tim lots of stupid questions regarding this since I have little knowledge of it.

I was kicking myself at work yesterday thinking it had been sold by now. Surprisingly, it wasnt.

I have Cervinis. My buddy has the same hood on his 03 Cobra.

It seems like my days of 205rwhp is another lifetime ago lol. Right now, I'm just hoping for anything over 500rwhp and work on up from that. I'll likely get blower cams with the shortblock and stick with stock heads for now. I would like to eventually top 600rwhp on pump gas and throw some n2o on top of it for shyts and giggles.

Congrats! Youll need the VT Stage 3 blower cams if you want over 600rwhp. I already talked to VT about that. I went with the stage 2s because I dont want or need 600rwhp on my car; Ill be happy with my little 500-550 rwhp stang.
