i gotta go with street on this one

i love the stangs but the LS1 has a lot more N/A potential than our 2v mod engines

ive said it before...if ford made the ls1 engine and it was in a stang itd be the perfect car IMHO

Why not 99-01 cobra?? You could easily find them in the same price range as a SS if you looked for more than 10 minutes. I personally just hate the look of a Camaro... I know a few guys who felt the same and ended up doing LS1 -> FC swaps lol

I don't care how fast it is, that particular SS looks like trash. You have a few options... 1. buy that one, and try to outrun ugly (but lose) 2. Seek out another LS1, either Camaro or a T/A 3. 99/01 cobra

Stock power output aside, Mustang GT > Camaro SS. I'd say go find a 99/01 Cobra and have the best of both worlds. If I could afford it, I'd have a cobra instead. But you certainly wont see me in an F-body.

Heres the way I look at it.

If you want something that will scare the hell out of you, be fast stock, faster with VERY little money in it, but have to deal with little nicknack problems all the time (window motors), go with the LS1.

If you want something slower (lets face it, now-a-days our cars arent all that fast), but TONS of fun, fewer BS problems all the time, and tons of value for the dollar, go with the Mustang. Id LOVE to have a dark blue SS sitting on chrome Z06 wheels, but at the same time, my Mustang is SO much fun and almost paid for, so why switch now.

yeah, I can't really tell how I feel about SS camaros. Part of my likes them, but it doesn't take much for me to dislike them. I will forever love 98+ firebird T/As and Firehawks, but my heart lies w/ mustangs... even if mine is slow

Like already mentioned above if you can deal with the look/appearance of a Camaro then I would buy the SS. To me they have always been kind of white trash, so if you buy it you may want to also go ahead and grow out a mullet and cut off all the sleeves on all your shirts. That being said I rode in 01 Auto SS and the power was awesome. It also cornered incredible well, far better than either of my previous Mustangs (96 Cobra/01 Bullitt).

Are you talking about the 2nd Gen. Rx-7???

Those swaps are great because its such a lil car with a lot of torque even though its like taking the soul out of the car when you remove the rotary !!!!!!

Google LS1+cam swap+dyno numbers. That will make your decision.
