They both have the same mounting tabs, so everything will bolt together...BUT the T-Bird has longer axle housing tubes and axle shafts. I can't remember the exact dimentions but the T-Bird axle is about 2 or 3 inches wider between wheel mounting flanges. I found this out after getting a Turbo Bird axle to put in my Mustang cause it had 3.73 gears and disk brakes already on it. I thought it would be a direct bolt on but after measuring everything I found that it would put my wheels and tires into the fenders. Swapping the other way might give a T-Bird extra room for wider tires with a Mustangs shorter axle.
