I have been on the phone all last night and today talking with engine buiders. I sat down and decided I am dropping a turn-key 347 stroker in the Mustang. This is the one I decided to go with. AND yes I know it is carburated!!!

Eh, it was $1000 more for fuel injection. I don't mind tweeking the engine all the time. Gives me something to do. Plus I am having him add chrome pieces. I don't need all the extra wiring that burned up if I go carb.

I decided to go with this builder, mainly because they dyno test all their engines before shipping them. So, it will come with a dyno sheet and blueprints.

It isn't like I just decided to go carb. I have been throwing the idea around ever since the car burned.

My decision to go carb:

1. car will crank, but not start

a. EFI - possibly spend the whole weekend tracing 14 year old wires

b. CARB - Look inside carb, is it getting gas? Adjust, and be on your way.

2. Ease of maintenance - I can take my valve covers off in 5 minutes. with the exception of a spyder, SSI or sheetmetal intake, how long does that take on an EFI?

3. Everything looks cleaner

4. upgrading go fast parts is ALOT cheaper.
