Well I broke down and saved up enough money to get my old 71' Mach 1 in the rust shop. These guys are going to cut out all the old rusted metal and weld in new steel and the rust proof it. A little bit extra steel here and there and we'll have a untwistable frame
The site for this shop is www.rustfix.com when they post pic of what they're doing to my car I can link it to here. Feels good to be doing something with the car besides tinker with the carb for a change. I'm a big fan of extra steel.
But the old girl still runs and after the frame is under her we can upgrade the brakes. Gonna try bigger wheels with some 13" disks cause you gotta be able to stop all that extra steel. hehe
Gonna need a bigger engine too. Gotta be able to get all that steel moving. lol YEAH BABY.
I ended up in CT for 3 years. Anybody from CT?
So my project is finally moving forward. Anybody else have a victory story.

Oh well, the issue with my Navy buddies doing it is that we're all way the hell to busy to rebuild the frame of a rusted doobie-mobile. Gonna have to redo the wiring in my house, that'll be enough fun. Anyways, I'm excited. Hey Chelle have you decided on a color for Sadie yet? I can't get over the deep red with the black Mach 1 stripes. hehe gonna be a lot of fun finishing this thing.
