All I can say is be CONSERVATIVE... slow right down, braking reaction is way dif in the snow...dont go flyin up to any stop signs like normal, youll go right thru..I find it takes a awhile to readjust my driving for the snow...You got snow tires on it??.
Even cornering is tricky, it'll plow like crazy if your speeds to high...can you say hello guardrail or worse a stonewall...Be cool and take ir slow....The ass ends gonna wanna come right around on you...

Poor Mustang....salt, mud, chit all over and under it...pains me to even think of it...

Good luck to ya...

Thanks...i live in PA, right near philly. I mean when its raining I know it sounds stupid but I like to take corners sliding, even when its dry actually. Only when its clear though. I guess snow is just a ton slipper.

fun times, but that is the best way to learn how to drive in the snow...go out in a parking lot and go nuts, get the braking down, the turning down, then turning speed down (this is when I would just have fun spinning out). In that order so you got the feel of the brakes and turn so you dont end up in a mess before.

I learned how to drive in 91 escort...learned how to drive in snow in a 1966 chevy (drunk driver rearended me and the escort at a redlight), that 66 was scary on dry roads with its 30yr old susp. setup in snow it was a GREAT learner.

Ya, I agree that playing in an open parking lot is tons of fun, can be safe, and is a good way to get a feel for snow.

Just remember that the most dangerous part of winter driving is unpredictable conditions. You will pull up to one snow covered stop sign and stop easily. Then the next one has sheer ice buried under snow. Looks exactly the same as the first, then you brake and don't slow a bit, sail through the intersection, and create another donor Mustang.

Take it real easy on the roads. Never "play" on the road, even if there is no one around. Cause you will hit unexpected patches.
