Well on my way to work today there was a nice chunk of ice on the road that I didn't see, I hit it at 50 and my tire blew up, instant flat. So I pulled over, no rim damage. Now the funny thing is my girl friend bought me a jack and jack stands for Xmass. I had the jack in the trunk with me so I got to try it out. It worked but I don't no if I jacked it from the right spot. Where should you jack the car up? I don't have the manual in the car so I just took a guess.

Yeah that’s what I did. The rails are the 2 metal peaces that run the length of the car?

Don't feel bad man, I got a flat right front tire on Christmas eve and had to change it with the stupid scissor jack. Turns out that my car is out of line and the wire was showing around the inside edge of the tire, and the one on the other side was getting bad too.
So I got it home and put the rear wheels and tires on the front, and had to put my rear Prostars and MT Drag radials from my 68 on the rear of my 04 until I get money to buy a new set of tires.

There is a specific spot right behind the front wheel, and in front of the rear wheel
on the rail for the jack. Its about a 3" section.

Are you talking about the rocker panel pinchweld to the floorpan or the subframe?

Alot of jacking on the pinchweld with a regular floor jack will distort and flatten out.

The place I used looked like 2 peaces of metal pan caked together.

I used to use the sub frame, but last time I was under the car I see the front section of subframe is all jacked up from using the floor jack. So are you guys saying I am supposed to jack it up between the subframe and the mounting points for the rockers?

Had the same problem find the frame and use a piece of wood. Cheap jacks tear into it. Just use wood. The bigger 200 bucks one raise the car more evenly so no damage.
