Hey everyone, I'm so stoked. Today has been so great. I finally finished all of my papers due for school. Then I get a surprise graduation present from my mom which was a 154 piece craftsman tool set. And magically ten minutes after I put the set together, the mechanic we take our cars to asks me if im able to work for him. I said "yeah! what do you need me to do, like sweep the bays and go get parts?" he says "well, i need you to turn wrenches." I about had a heart attack. He said i can work full time as soon as summer hits. I start tomorrow after school. Im so excited. Oh, and not to mention that i received a card today from my moms friend. She gave me $250 cash for graduation. I'm $250 closer to my Intercooled Procharger!!!

Very sweet congrats. That $250 will pay for your 3 core intercooler upgrade. I was going to go w/ the P1SC myself but decided to go w/ the Paxton Novi 2000 Insted.

Why did you choose the Paxton over the Procharger? Oh, and congrats on the new job!

I was still reading about threads on the leaking head units on the Procharger P1SC's. Some guy on here in the 4.6 section was having trouble w/ his. Then I got looking at Paxton and realized that I couldent go wrong w/ them and the Novi 2000 is one hell of a blower.

Congrats on the job.. you have now joined the grease monkey guild.. *Salute*...

At least you'll get to work on cool stuff.. I work on Chevy's day in and out.. But then again.. if they didn't break often I wouldn't be able to build my FORD.

Congrats on the new job I'm leaving my current job to go install cabinets here soon. Working on cars may be fun, but I dont want to turn it into a career/job that I HAVE to do. Working on racecars is another story. Going to college to become a mechanical engineer, just not sure what part yet... Would be nice to get on with Roush or Yates racing If you're on the Roush team, do they give you a Stage III for a work car???

Congrats on graduating most of all

Like you said all superchargers can have problems.I'll be honest, mine is leaking right now. But I still have two years out of three left on the warranty. And I havn't heard of a supercharger that is invincible. So go with the 3 year warranty.

yeah thats true but the people that happen to get the bad head units and have leaking problmes have there cars in "down time" most of the time shipping and waiting for the head unit to return. Ive read storys of people sending back the head unit 2,3,4 times b/c it just wouldent stop leaking. Are they still that bad now?? No I belive not, I know they have fixed most of the problems but all it took was one leaking story for me to turn me off from them b/c I wasnet going to spend 3K on a blower and spend all summer sending it back to them to be fixed. Ive had no problems w/ my paxon ( only been on for a few wks ) and I dont forsee any either. The P1SC is an awesome blower and will build alot of power b/c of the intercooler and Im sure you wont have any probs but I changed my mind on them for reasons I stated and even though it wasent much it was still enough for me and I couldent be more happy w/ my Paxton Novi 2000 plus it has as 3 yr warrenty.

no its a diffrent type of blower then a procharger. Procharger is a self contained unit ( no need to tap the oil pan) and gear driven. The Paxton is a centrifigual (SP) blower which requires the oil pan to be tapped for supercharger oiling and cooling. Centrifigual blowers dont require intercoolers, some have after coolers such as vortech but I dont like how it looks. No need for one so I dont plan on getting one.

Why no need in your situation? Are you not running enough boost. The little I have looked into superchargers I have liked the self-contained units better because they looked safer.
