Alright my 93 was a 2.3 auto and i bought it to be my fun drag car, the 2.3 is out and im buying an 89gt for a donor to the 93 so ill have an 89gt rolling chassis and the 2.3 motor laying around. My idea is have some fun and turbo the 2.3 and drop it in the 89 w/ a 5spd. What im asking you guys is how much do you think it would cost and where is the best place to get the parts, just need the turbo stuff. What do you think . Its not the main car so it has to be budget minded or its not gonna happen.

It can be done, but you would be better off starting with a turbo motor because they got forged pistons, and several other goodies.
Honestly, I think you would have more fun buying a $200 nitrous kit off ebay, and trying to blow it up. There is already a guy on here that is running a 125 shot with no problems. He will be installing 175 jets soon as he gets the turbo motor built up.

you can turbo an na with a few parts changed out., However, a 2.3 turbo car can easily be found for @$300-$700 us. Take the parts you need, sell the rest. 87-88 turbo coupes yield a bountiful harvest of parts(like the 8.8 disc brake rear axle).

I bought the 93 because it has a straight body/paint and black interior its the serious car, the 89gt is beat up pretty bad i just bought it for the drivetrain.

Best plan for the A4LD is rip it out and put a T5 in, you'll never look back.

Just take her up to 6250 and click it in drive. Then you'll be ready to swap the trans. It may even be half way removed too.

i don't really have much $ right now for a t5 and all the stuff i need for the swap, that's why i'm looking for an a4ld to last till i get a job ( lazy college kid)
