I had my seatbelts fixed today. Now they retract!!

This always happens to me...was there a recall on the seatbelts? It's only the drivers side that doesn't retract, I hate reachin back all the time to pull it back constantly. Do you know how much it costs if I can't get a recall on it?

Can you post a pic of the fix itself? Is it those little white teflon tapey things that go on the d-ring on the b-pillar?

Yes its just tape. You cant even see it when installed.

Alot of red Xs....but yea mine suck pretty bad, they are not very strong, but not weak enough to gte stuck in the door...even my back seats. I strap my jug of coolade (sp LOL) in my back seat every day after work for the errr "drive home" so it doesnt go flying while im taking 40MPH corners at 60..and it doesnt want to retract half the time.

Yeah I had that problem too...after the fix I'm finally not frustrated when I strap in...

A TSB is just a Technical Service Bulletin. It is notification that Ford puts out to notify dealers of issues they have found to be a problem and a corrective action. If your car is under warranty they are "usually" taken care of at no charge. If you are out of warranty it is just like any other repair, you are responsible for the cost.

The part, considering it is just teflon tape, is not cheap. The lowest price I have been able to find it is $50.
