if i throw another belt before i get home from mustang week i swear i am selling my car!! i have thrown 2 belts in 500 miles with this damn RR pulley that doesnt line up right. so now after spending all damn day getting my brakes working right, getting my alignment set, and spending 6+ hours washing, clay baring and waxing my car it is sitting down a dirt road (forgot to mention all the dog piss it will have on its nicely shined rims) at a machine shop getting a new s/c pulley spacer made for it! i have my ASE test tomorrow morning then work tomorrow night and then opening shift on sat! i had to leave my car somewhere for the first time ever andi dont have any timeto fix it before i'm suppose to leave!

does anyone want a mildly modded saleen replica??????
i'm getting really sick of the money pit!!

Sorry to hear your series of unfortunate events
that sucks. From my experience that is all part of owning
a Ford no offense.Hopfully it can be lined up correctly.
You should have bought a Subaru STI like I did and modded
the hell out of that if you wanted a more dependable/reliable
vehicle like I do.Boost with no belt wins everytime my friend.
Just wondering how much boost are you running with the RR pulley?

Its Fords fault that an aftermarket supercharger application is causing shredded belts. Stupid Ford.

Anyway......

I fell your pain man. Threw my first belt (after 20,000 miles) a couple months ago. Damn does it suck changing them on mod motors.

Pennywise is just a forum troll with an imaginary Subaru. If we don't move maybe he won't see us and go away?

Play nice children before San gives you the banstick.
I only stated my opnion that's all.
It's not my fault Ford vehicles have a bad resale value
or I would still own a mustang.

Dude, do you seriously not have anything better to do then troll around on a Mustang forum? If you don't like Mustangs then why do you keep coming back and posting here? And that Ford comment was the dumbest thing I have heard, what about my 94 F-150 with 130,000 miles and no problems? Or the 90 F-250 that had over 200,000 when it was sold? Or the 83 that still runs today without anything be rebuilt except for the carb? Or my Mustang that has been threw 5 sets of tires in 3 years from all the burns outs? I've never had to fix anything on that car except for my intake manifold that cracked, but I can live with that being the only problem in 3 years.

Hang around if you want, but your opinionated comments are really getting old. I'm sorry if you had a lemon Mustang, but that doesn't mean they all are.

sorry to hear man...damn money pits

... that kinda stuff that keeps breaking really sucks. my car's nearly stock compared to a lot of peoples cars on here and i've already had 2 water pumps go out on me in the past 2 months. every morning i wake up hoping that that i wont find another lake of coolant in the driveway (already happend 4 times now) or crap wont break on the way to work and school.

gotta love fords...mine feels like a crappy tin rickety sled and i just passed 35k miles on her. it's not really that enjoyable when you actually find yourself fixing or repairing daily.

Sucks dude, I hear ya. Mustangs seem to have bad things happen in a series of very close events; when **** happens, **** really happens ya know? Anyways, my only advice is this: when a part breaks on a mustang, people usually just replace the part. However, you have to think: is there maybe a reason it broke in the first place? Is something else not working right? Make sure you spend the time and money to fix the problem AND the source correctly the first time, or you will just be fixing it again.

Also, to the sti guy: let's take the best stock subaru, an sti, and race it against the best stock mustang, probably an 03' cobra. Who wins? Let's mod, still, who wins? Finally, let's cruise down to the beach and try to pick up chicks in the cars. Who wins again? There is no argument, if you don't like mustangs get off of STANGNET, a place for mustangs.

OP: it is a money pit because you make it one. If you would have spent your money on preventitive maintenance instead of mods you would not be having this problem. Also if you had done some research you would have discovered that many people have this exact problem with RR pulleys.

Live and learn.

STis might be fast but you cannot outrun ugly.

Dude, I'm glad you're so proud of your STD and all, but could you please save your stang bashing for your STD forums?

Thanks!
