so im sweatin out my shirts and its not even august yet. where do you guys recommend i get my A/C serviced at? how much should i pay?

it cuts on but blows hot.

It cost me ~$270 to have my commuter car's AC compressor rebuilt.

Frankly at any cost having a working AC is worth it.

if you have a fox like is in you avstar, its about 700 bucks for a full R-134a kit. If you got a R-134a car already I would try the refill kits you can get from the autoparts store. Depends on how bad it doesn't work really.

I just had to have mine re-charged when the heater core went out. I did it myself only cost me for the 134A around $40 and about 20 minutes and it was done.

$700 is a bit steep for me.

anyone know how much a can of the old refrigerant is worth? I think I have two sitting around in the garage somewhere.

those are like gold mines you have. R-12 I think worked way better. That stuff worked good enough to frezze a side of beef on.

I will have to dig through the garage and see what it is.

My dad gave them to me, and I can remember them from when we moved into his house in 1987.

just drain out all the oil **** yourself then buy the kit from the store for like $60, why pay the $700 you can sell the old freon i got 5 cans for $20 about a year ago for my 92 they might be gold mines MAYBE but you get caught selling it and you'll wish it was gold.So just dont get caught selling it! or give it and the hose to a tweaker and have them suck on the end of the hose as they open the valve. i remember when i was like 13 there was this chick that would go buy that stuff and inhale it to get high i remember she'd get so high off that **** she'd pass out! peace

my carso if its as simple as buying the can, connecting it and pressing the button i may try it. $150 is kinda steep.

is it really as simple as screwing it into the port and refilling it? how does jiffy lube charge so much ??

Jiffy Lube FTL Again, shirts are over rated. Greatest way to get a tan in a car ( I have a convertible though)
