so with $2000, lets say $1500 what can i do to make my 1999 V6 decent? by decent i mean beat Z28's. what i would like is to be in the 350 RWHP range. that would be perfect. but i dont think i can get that with this little amount of money, but really, i dont want to spend more than $2000 on performance. mainly cause its a V6 mustang, why bother putting a lot of money into performance. so please help me decide what the best choice is with $2000, not a penny over. turbo? supercharger? drop a v-8 in it? will a 5.o explorer engine work with this car? about how much is it to swap an engine out, and what all do i need. as far as i know, i need the engine, wiring harness, and computer. please hep me, i would like to do something, but i dont want to do anything, until i know that its the best thing to do. thank you

With that amount, all your power adders for induction won't happen. Dropping in another engine won't happen either. You're best bets are to go with the typical bolt on power adders.

CAI
Cat-back exhaust
U/D Pulleys
Gears - T-lok
Suspension Package
Custom chip

You're done - outta cash!

buy heads/cam/intake with dyno tune and you will be around 230-250rwhp and same tq~ not enough for an LS1..... not nearly enough if you have a maual that is, if auto expect alot lower power gains

intake/cam/heads alone will be 1500 .... if you can get all that for that chepa DAMN do it... good forged pistons are 500 alone, 4.2 crank goes for 150~ rods 100-150~
