Ok i had my off road X-pipe put on and im using MIL's on the rear o2's the check engine light came on the next day so i had the shop pull the codes..it says something like heater 02 not working something like that..And its even a hard fault,so we came to the conclusion that a wire to the o2 is broken..so my question is if i buy a programer and shut the o2's off will the light stay off?..or do i need to tear this whole car apart to find the broken wire?...any help would be great thanks...i think the code was p1147 or p1047 or maybe it was p0147...lol...something like that:)

First, check the fuses. Possible that the fuse controlling the O2 heater has blown. Remember the same fuse controls ALL of the O2 heaters.

Next, the MIL has to simulate the load of the O2 heater, if it does not do this, it will still throw a DTC. Begin by confirming +12 volts to the RD/YE wire (key on). If not, look for blown fuse or burnt wire.

My front 2 o2's are fine the drivers rear o2 is fine the passenger rear o2 isnt readin..I evem switch the o21 i knew was good and it still didnt change anything thats why i think its a broken wire...if the fuse was bad then the drivers rear one wouldnt be working right or maybe all of them wouldnt wrok i just have one bad one Oh yeah i even took the MIL off and it still can up witrh the same code...like it doesnt have power..Im using a Ford scanner for this the shop i go to has this scanner i checked it with the KOER and it even has a hard fault with just the key on...So that is why i think its a broken wire...If i used an SCT to shut the rears off would that work...or would the check engine light still come on?
