I Have Vibration Issues

Alrite I have a 1993 mustang gt auto and everytime the car reaches high rpm (5000-6000) the car feels like it is grinding. I know it isn't the transmission because that blew a couple of weeks ago I was wondering if maybe it was the gears, they are stock by the way. Also another question sometimes at WOT the car almost seems like it shifts into 2nd for a split second then right into 3rd without reaching high rpm in 2nd how do I fix that?

Where does this feeling or noise seem to come from in the car?

It feels like it is coming form the back of the car.

Well I would start by, looking ever thing over like your drive shaft, u-joints, and rear end.
Do you know the last time the differental fluid was checked? look for any leaks, grab onto stuff move it around see if any thing is loose.

Unless the AOD was rebuilt with performance in mind the ole 1-2for a second-3rd shifting sounds like a normal AOD to me.

how new are your tires??? my car is an 88 lx coupe 5.0, T5 trans with 373 gears... when i would be in 5th around 3 grand i'd get a vibration. My tires were near ready to blow so I got new tires mounted and balanced at the car doesnt have any vibrations at all! its like a new car... I'd suggest the cheapest check you could do is make sure your tires are balanced and more importantly make sure there not starting to come apart.
