[FONT=verdana, arial, geneva]EVERETT - Police in Everett are asking for the public's help in locating a man who ran down an Everett firefighter Thursday evening.
Everett Police Lt. Ted Olafson said two firefighters were jogging on a sidewalk near their fire station on Evergreen Way when a man driving a Ford Mustang pulled into a parking lot to turn around.
With the car spanning the sidewalk, one of the firefighters tapped on the rear of the Mustang so the driver would know not to back into them, Olafson said.
The firefighters continued jogging back toward Station Six but the Mustang driver was apparently angered by the men having touched his car. Olafson said the man made a sharp turn and accelerated directly at the two firefighters, striking one of them.
The firefighter was hit by the front of the Mustang and thrown into the hood. Everett Fire Department spokesman Warren Burns said the firefighter was taken to an area hospital to be checked out and is expected to be okay.
Police said the driver was likely going about 30 miles per hour when he struck the firefighter. Investigators were seen measuring a long stretch of skid marks visible on the ground where the man was hit.
The driver of the Mustang sped off and remains at large.
Police said the car is a metallic blue Ford Mustang hardtop, built between 1996 and 1998. The license plate is not known. The Mustang may have damage to the hood or windshield. Anyone with information is asked to call the Everett Police Department's tip line at 425-257-8450.

This guy needs help... This is way out of line, mental kind of stuff. It is getting savage out there. Hope the firefighter is ok...

What he needs is to get his a$$ beat, then have that fireman be the one to show up and help him to the hospital.. OHH and don't forget giving his nice prized mustang being given the fireman he hit....
