I went from a b&m ripper shifter to a pro 5.0 and i hate it. The one two shift is where my three four use to be. I hope that I'll get use to it but its been a month and i still miss a shift now and then. Good luck with yours, I know some guys love them.

I went from an old style cast base Hurst to a Pro-5.0 and at first I hated it for all the issues noted above. What I ended up doing is buying MGW's adjustable shift lever: http://www.mgwltd.com/mustang_shift_handle.shtml

This thing is awesome, cheap and COMPLETELY changed the way the Pro 5.0 feels. I haven't missed a shift yet, the shift ball is exactly where I want it and yeah...give it a shot. It also works with any shifter that has the OEM bolt pattern.
