I just got some MAC longtubes, now how do I put them in?

Just got them today and now im debating if I should paint them or not yet. I have a supercharger sitting on one side of my engine so dliding them in is not an option. If someone could tell me how to jack up the engine and what I have to disconnect it would be great. Also, is painting them a good idea? I think GTJAKE has had his painted for more then a year now. Any special tips?

unbolt the steering shaft, unbolt the motormounts, jack it up, slide the pass side one in from the top, drivers side in from the bottom... Nothing else should need to come off unless you have your smog pump still. Thats the way it was for my BBK LT's and I dont see why it would change much for the MAC's

I will tell you the easy way to put your lt's on your car and your power will go up more than you thought with my method of lt header install.

Put them on at the same time you install your new set of good flowing Aluminum heads. The headers just fall in place when you don't have old outdated heads in the way.

Kind of off topic and random, but have you guys seen how the top fuel headers are pretty much part of the head. I was watching espn the other day and they took the heads off ,and the headers came off with them. Did they just leave them bolted on there or are they part of the actual head?

On topic:My lt's went on while the block was out of the car so I'm no help , but the install should be the same as the bbk's.
