I just purchased the following,
Vortech V-2 SQ S-trim with aftercooler (complete kit, 255lph pump, injectors, etc) 9PSI
Anderson Powerpipe
Denso Iridium Spark plug set (1 heat range colder than stock)
Autometer vacuum/boost guage (phantom series)
Autometer Fuel pressure guage (phantom series)
Autometer pillar mount guage pod
Vortech Battery relocation kit
Vortech Stainless steel oil feed upgrade

Coming in a month,
3:73 or 4:10 gears - still undecided
new locker, mine is worn out
and the deep dish bullet wheels

Here is my question,

I understand that I will have aproximately 11PSI with the Anderson powerpipe, I have completely stock 2002 GT convertible 5spd, with 88,000 miles. I will spend Mon-Tues installing, and have an appointment for dyno tune on Wed. How safe will this combo be on my car with an awesome tuner taking care of the tuning? I know you all have seen this question before, but I still have to ask the experts. This will be my first forced induction setup and I am all new to it.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I saw that and do appreciate the response, I kinda want a broad range of input on this subject as I am new to forced induction. I want to make 400hp out of my car without going into the bottom end. As soon as I achieve that mark I will be happy. My last car, a 92 notchback made somewhere close to that with a 393 stroker and I was very happy with it.

I have a truck I want to seek revenge on.

Dodge 2500 4wd smoked me a few weeks back, I got the jump by 2 cars, and then he sprayed me, as I hit 3rd he passed me and just kept going. After it was overwith I talked to the guy and he had a twin turbo setup built by Sun Coast Performance, with a 300 shot of propane, and a 250 shot of nitrous. He says he never sprayed me, but I know how that all works, when you spray the power hits hard, and I heard his tires when they broke traction, He says thats when the boost hit, I could hear and tell he was in boost on the launch. Bottom line is that he sprayed me. I will get him back

Fix your differential, add in some 3.73's, and you've already got the truck beat. Screw the blower.

I'm gonna get the truck one way or another even if I have to fill his propane tank with water or some ****.

It will be straight

Not sure if you'll see over 400whp with that setup unless you add a set of longtubes...then it should be pretty easy! I'm not sure what size pulley is on a 9psi aftercooled kit, but if it's a 3.6" like the non-intercooled setup you'll need to pulley down to a 3.3" to hit 11psi, but it might be a 3.3" or 3.4" included with that kit, I don't know.

Yes, the longtubes are planned, i was just waiting to see if I have to build a forged bottom end, and planned to do the headers at the same time.

The aftercooler kit comes with a 3.3" pulley. You will probably hit around 370-380hp with that setup, and if your tuner knows what he is doing it will be reliable.

hmmmmmm, which pulley to get to the 400 mark? Maybe I'll just put on a 20-30 shot of nitrous :damnit:

yea don't be too surprised if you don't hit 400...i myself have the v2 sq w/ aftercooler...i had the blower w/ aftercooler with 3.33 pulley making 10 lbs of boost with xpipe and tuner and i made 379/370...i recently put on afm powerpipe, and 75 tb and plenum and i may have been close to 400 but i messed up my bottom end : ( be careful make sure you run 2 breathers on both sides of the motors unless you want a lot of oil inside your afm powerpipe and inside your aftercooler box(not your resivoir)

He is referring to the PCV system. The PCV relieves crankcase pressure, but gets oil in the intake components. He is recommending you use a "breather", one in each valve cover (I'm assuming) to keep oil out of your power pipe.

dragstr is correct in what i'm saying...if you don't oil inside your powerpipe i would recommend running breathers on both valve covers to relieve pressure....unless of course you want to constantly be cleaning oil up

you would also smell teh sweet smell of nitrous from his exhaust as well. lol

but you will be fine with those kinda miles. if the tune is good it will last for years to come. depending on what you want out of your car like camming and all possibly down the road 4.10s would be the best.

I'm not sure if its a walboro pump or not, It's the pump that comes with the kit. I recieved my traching numbers and whatnot yesterday when it was shipped. says approx. 5 days for delivery. I will call Monday to see exactly what pump I have.

You guys are a great help, Thanks alot!!!!
