How the heck do you remove an old leaf spring, I cannot get the bolt out of the front attachment...I have tried heat, lubricating oil, etc to get it out...Any advice is greatly appreciated. I am not trying to save the bold or the spring. Thanks.

A sawsall with a tungsten blade. You have to get it between the hanger and the spring. It'll take a while, but it will cut through.

i remember using a punch and a hammer. I thought that after 5 hours of trying to get it out with a rachet lol.

i'm sure that sawsall would work too. never tried that

Another one for the sawzall...and as they said...get a GOOD BLADE or you'll just waste your money on a bunch of cheap ones before you spend the money. Those bolts are strong as hell.

Yep, this is one ugly job. You are going to have to cut or burn or both.

I use an impact hammer and punch the blot out. Someone had a similar method on here that I thought was a little better but can't remember. My method takes about 1 minute.

i did it with a angle grinder and replaced the grinding wheel with a fiberglass cutoff wheel, worked pretty darn good!!
