Thought i would post this if any of you have thought about running Mickey Thompson E/T Street Radials. They are awesome, ive got 275/50's on my vert with prostars and with bone stock suspension, have gotten 1.72 60' times, pretty impressive when compared to the 2.3-2.5 stock times I think. Working on my suspension right now and after that I should be tearing that 60 foots ass up. Great tires, i drive back and forth to the track on em with no problems. Suck in the rain though, found that out pretty quick. I highly recommend em for those of you who have to drive your car back and forth to the track. i heard from someone that hot rod magazine tested em against the regular et streets and the radials actually got better times, after running the car I can actually believe it.

i am going to run them for ffw. but i have to say, it would be hard for me to believe they hook as hard as et streets. My susp is so F'ed up and i cut low 1.7s coming out of the hole weak as hell.

Yeah, these tires are amazing, they're a night a day difference from my nitto DR's. I also read that article, I thought it was in a mustang mag though?

i had heard it was hot rod, ive never read the article myself though. i mean they hook sooo good even on my stock (until next weekend) suspension. i can dump the clutch at like 4,500 and they barely squeal its amazing. nmra outlawed them i know, there has to be a reason, some people have said because they hook too good basically an et street with a small amount of tread cut in them. anyway you turn it, i love em and as long as i have to drive back and forth to the drag races i will have em on my car.

You ever stick your thumb into one on a hot day? Its like driving on gum.

I think you're right, the article was hotrod.

The only problem with these tires (wich is understandable) is their longevity.

They work just as good as slicks..my local bud tried them out on his fox. He upped his kit to a 200..sprayed outta the hole and went a 1.39 60ft with fox 4cyl springs, and 90/10s..haha insane on a 302c.i and even E7 heads

Both tires up

I love mine too, love them so much that I only made two passes on them before I took the off. I snapped an axle on them. Just be careful of launching on stock axles at that RPM, I was dumping the clutch at 4000 and next thing I know POW. Had to tow it home.

But I really do like the tires, they are awesome and compare to ET Drags in my book and 60's between the two are very close with on my car. I can cut low 1.6's on both.

yeah they are pretty soft, ive had em on my car for about 3 months, and i drive out to the shop to work on it just about every weekend and race it about every 2-3 weeks and they still look almost brand new. except for the fact that my tailpipe was rubbing on the passenger side tire and took a nice solid 1/4" off the whole inside of the tire, which still pisses me off. Luckily I fixed it before it got too bad. they suck in the rain too, they kinda just hover over the water instead of going through it lol.

read sig, moser 33 splines, spool and c-clip elim. that rearend isn't going to giveway too easily, now the stock t-5, is counting its days lol. I put my prostars and et street radials on first and waited a few weeks to :Track: so i could get my moser kit in because i knew it would break an axle.

Wow, exact same thing happened to me too. 1/4" off on the passenger side. I had to hammer the exhaust pipe over.

on my ridiculousy expensive bassani catback no hammer will ever hit it lol. my boy was trying to tell me he was going to hit it with a hammer and i was like dude you hit that tailpipe with a hammer and im gonna hit your face with it next. all i had to was loosen the tailpipe clamp and turn it inwards, it was also hitting the frame, so i kept if about half and half, half from hitting the tire, half from hitting the frame.
