I love "Top Gear" but sometimes....jeez

I can tell the people that say the Shelby can not handle have never drove one. The car handles amazingly for what it is and can out handle many cars today. Peole that own a 2000 Cobra R and this car say that this car handles better than the R so..... Plus 90% of the suspension was off of the FR500.

People that wish it had IRS well, if you ever drove a Cobra and got wheel hop you would think different. We bought ours to go fast in a straight line though and trust me it does!

Actually you're dead right... I didnt think about it like that before, but you're right. All the car shows over here are so driven by advertising that they are total crap. I watched some musclecar garage or something once, and I couldn't believe what a load of BS it was. They were like "this is a Steeda intake spacer good for 30 rwhp... lets install it". Retarded.

I really dont blame Top Gear though. They are looking for nimble sports cars. Big fat heavy GT500s are not that at all. They should get their facts straight though.

Yup, motorweek is a joke too. "This suprising hybrid put out a boasting 98hp and 72tq, we clocked it at a respectable 0-60 in 9.8 seconds - what a great buy!" Why do they even road test these things?

There is a car show on the Speed Channel.... Dream Car garage. They always test big dollar performance cars whether they are european or American. But no matter what car they drive, the driver beats on the car and says "whoa this is awesome". So from a comparison standpoint, all the cars they test are pretty much considered great... but then again, they are testing SL65's athat none of us can afford :)
