As you all know my car has been broke for about a year now. Well I wanted to buy a house with a garage before I started ripping into it but thats not gonna happen cause I can't afford a house. I'm pretty broke ass these days. I'm still working but ****s so expensive i don't have the money to do anything. My ram needs a new track bar but i don't have the money to fix that either so I judt drive it like it is. I'm hoping to find a second job one of these days to help pay to fix my car.

Oh well just wanted to say I miss my baby. And say Hi to all you guys

What does the stang need again? Can't you jsutify that just on gas???

That is how I afford most of my mods... I do it because the gas is more for the truck (14 vs 18 mpg)...

I went without driving my car for 6 months. It was terrible. I don't think I would make it a full year, much less two years.

It runs and drives, but it still needs a lot of tuning. I've got the AF ratios pretty much dialed in for now, but I have to get cracking with the timing curves next. It still feels pretty sluggish thus far.

I feel your pain, my car basicly spent the better part of 2yrs moving less than 2miles. Then in the last 1-1.5yrs I have been fighting bugs .

Drove it on a local forum cruise last Sat. around 140miles round trip and simply enjoyed it. When I got REALLY sick and tired I just walked away for a few months...it kinda sucked but kept me from getting sooo tired I wanted set it on fire.

The way I approch it is this...if its paid for and you cant do anything at the time, just hold onto it and wait it is costing you nothing sitting (unless you have to pay for storage) you can afford to do nothing. Get your ducks in a row and whatever finances sorted out then come back and enjoy the hobby. Selling it, esp. if you really like/enjoy/get any pleasure...even from just looking at it will only cost you more money and you will end up getting something and starting from scratch all over.

Hang in there...

Glad you finally got it running. Have you posted any new pics or vids?

blk i know what you mean. The only thing I pay on it is vandalism insurance. Around the time I droped the regular ins. was when me and my ex broke up and didn't want her or her new guy ****ing with my car. Idk why but people seem to hate me for some reason lol.

badstang trust me is it ran I'd be driving it. I love my Ram but it just don't give me the speed thrill factor the car does

That's what drove me crazy about being down for 6 months. It about killed me seeing it there with no engine in it. But it was a "have" to do type of things. When they lose compression you gotta do something.

This should be your first priority. Then the other things will fall in place.

J/K Jinx ... but what is the problem with the car?

all I have to do is ask and she is willing to try anything once.

the car knocks like a mofo. never tore into it to find the cause. my ram has a surging idle issue and knocks on start up cause it jumps to 2grand when it starts so I gotta get it in the shop before I screw it up more

I feel all of your guys' pain. My car has been in literally hundreds of pieces, and has been since April of 06.

I am heading to my parents house this weekend to put the motor and trans in though!!!

Unfortunately, it still wont run for a while...still need pushrods, driveshaft, headlights, seats...etc, etc, etc

It never ends!

Does your car sound anything like this?

That's my cousin's '00 GT. We will be doing a 5.4L swap in the near future.
