*I should note that the LS comment is only 25% sarcasm. I looked through a Jegs catalog the other day and didn't see too much as far as go-fast goodies for an LS. I'm sure it exists, I just havent had interest enough to look.

For all the times I could've done the same thing, the little guy that pops up on your shoulder in white told me I'd hate myself in the morning.
Torque is good for blazing tires,.......in hindsight,..I'll take the sewing machine smooth mod motor, just starting to sing at 5,000 RPM every day.
I have nothing against mod motors hell different strokes but ah whenever i show any slight interest in mod motors the little guy with the big balls and wide shoulders pops up on my right shoulder and pounds that little mod motor guy on my left shoulder into oblivion!!! Torque will power you all the way down the 1/4 mile and some great street fun too!!! next time i wanna run the Texas mile i build a mod motor
Horsepower is a function of Torque and RPM. Give up too much of one or the other, and you're just making life hard on yourself.
I have a mod motor your little friend w/ the swollen balls can pound on.

lol theres always gonna be a car with bigger balls! just saying if you compare build price, seat in the pants torque, the sweet sounds coming out of the exhaust the old pushrod engines will never die! mod motors are cool and ive always liked the madmike mustang so yeah be fun bring her up north we can have a go
Have you s!een what Chevy has in mind to keep up with the superchargers Ford is using? Direct fuel injection and variable valve timing in a pushrod motor that will fit under the low hood of a Corvette is what Pop Mechanics shows. I wish Ford would have done these things and had a stronger block for our little motors from the factory. I suspect the historical lack of displacement has more to do with MPG than superior technology. Small factory displacement is not changing with the new eco boosted motors. The days of boatloads of factory off the line torque may be gone, but at least stroker kits are available.

I love the new Coyote motor and the Chevy crowd can keep their push rods. The competition between Ford and Chevy will continue to force both companies to push development of their cars and I love it
