I need a list of things i should do when i pull the engine out..

got a track heat kit coming for me soon, and i also have constant clutch chatter, which i think is from my motor mounts so come this summer the engine will be pulled so i can tidy up around the bay, change the mounts like mention before, i need a new oil pan its not leaking but the a**hole who had my car before me must of jacked up by the front sump so there is a dent in it, so i was wondering while the engine is out and i can work on it, what else should i do?

weld the holes? bondo it? chrome as much as possble?

While the motor is out rebuild it ? I dont know if that is the answer you were looking for, but to me you already got the hard part done by pulling the motor, rebuilding it is a breeze IMO.

what exactly would rebuiding competely entail though? it can be done by a normal garage mechanic?

im not looking for answer just suggestions i guess, i mean my engine has around 12xxxx on it, i got a h/c/i for it so i figured that takes care of the top half of the motor, since its out i might as well take care of the bottom half, i dont wanna go for any machine work (when i think of machine work i just picture $ signs) just try to get it running a little better i guess? i mean what would be a good route to take for a good price? if a ball park price maybe within the 1k range?

Maybe you'd want to redo a couple gaskets, replace some hoses and/or lines, etc. Definitely clean and degrease everything, maybe even do some detailing in rough spots. Get rusty/dirty/dingy parts powdercoated, anodized, chromed or polished if you're into that, or just paint them black or go with a theme and paint 'em body color.

edit - retaping/looming your harnesses will make a big difference when it's all said and done, although you can do that when the engine is in, anyway
