I need advice on price..

Hey I'm new here also and just read your post. To me $2k for a running GT would be a steal, especially if its had some work done. I probably would'nt plan on trying to make any money on it by flipping it, but sounds like it could be a nice toy!

If I had the extra cash to play around with, I would go for it, especially if its someone you know. Sounds like a pretty safe deal to me. Good luck!! :nice:

Patrick at PSI motorsports is a great guy and he knows his STUFF!! He will be doing my car over because houston performance sucks. 2K is a steal even if you need to do some small rebuilding. If you dont i will... and i live in houston where the car probably is.

Well said.. That's exactly what I was thinking too. I'm just wanting someone's point of view that owns a mustang already. Thanks!

You will what..?
Buy it would be my guess. If you dont he will. Hell, ill drive the 300 miles and go buy it myself.

IDK why people think you couldnt flip it and make at least a grand off the deal. a 7/10 paint and fully running GT is worth 2K easy here in Texas. Most are double that with nasty paint and no rebuild.

2 grand for a running GT, with rebuilt trans, and lower end, and with a leather interior is a great deal. I would think since it's you neighbor he wouldn't royally rip you off.
Deal seams almost too good to be true....

And expect to shell out some money on repairs/gremlins....older used 160k cars like to find ways to drain your wallet.

Good luck with her, nice first stang to get!
