I NEED ALOT OF WORK ON MY MUSTANG...I NEED A MECHANIC

I'm in Tampa Florida in the Town N Country Area. Im looking for a mechanic that REALLY knows mustangs or Fords.

Can someone recommend one?

You bought a 5.0 Mustang and now you are looking for a mechanic? I hope you are rich, because the "mechanic" will own your wallet (or credit cards) very quickly.

These 5.0 Mustangs are great cars, but they require some tinkering and hands on effort to keep them at their best. The cars are all 14-30 years old with lots of miles and wear. That plus the dubious quality of some past owner’s work makes them great projects for the mechanically inclined. If you are not mechanically inclined, you bought the wrong car.

If you can, try to make friends with some car guys, having a Fox will draw them to you if you can drive (expose) it long enough. Other than building/machining engine components and certain other things, you're better off doing all of the work yourself.

Every time I took my stang near a shop the guys would like get all uneasy like I asked them fix a nuclear powered submarine or something.

+1 on doing as much of the work yourself as you can. unless its something major like having the trany rebuilt or you live in a app. and cant have it on jackstands in the parking lot most jobs can be done with a simple set of standard and metric tools.
or you could be like me, tired of messing with the car...

yeah you can bring it up to pittsburgh pa and i can do w/e you want to lol but anyone in fl idk work on it ur self 5.0 is a simple motor to work on

i really knew nothing about working on cars till i bougt a mustang... i also learned very quick that many shops wont even touch aftermarket parts, and if they do the labor is expensive.

when i was about 19 i got a 2000 dollar bill from a shop, then my car blew a head gasket, i had no money and had no choice but to learn how to work on my car.
